Awards and accomplishments can be flattering, but what is most important to Dr. Somers is the communication with those who need her help. By interacting with the community through public speaking, teaching, and counseling, she reaches families in need of advice or counseling regarding an aging or ill family member. She is committed to helping the elderly and educating their families and caretakers.
